Caribe Colombia 2025

Discover Green Riders, the legacy of Grenergy

Join us on an exciting 600 km journey along the stunning coastline of the Colombian Caribbean Sea. In the second edition of Green Riders, we aim to demonstrate that it is possible to explore the most remote corners of Colombia in 100% electric vehicles, being the first time this route is traveled in this way. With this initiative, we promote the development of these areas through sustainable tourism and education, reaffirming Grenergy’s commitment to the progress of the communities in which we operate.

A bike, a dream

In Mayapo, the Green Riders Caribbean 2025 expedition delivered 58 bicycles to the Laachon Ethnoeducational Institution to improve access to education for children and young people from the Jieyusirra, Kuskat, Villa Lourdes, Uriakat, Carraisirra, Mapashirra and Amuruluba communities. With a social investment that will benefit more than 200 people, including students and their families, the bicycles aim to reduce school dropout and travel times, as many students travel between 4 and 8 kilometres a day to get to class.

Cienaga Beach

35 students from the San Juan de Córdoba Educational Institution in the municipality of Ciénaga participated in a day of beach cleaning and environmental education, in which 317 kilos of waste were collected and an agreement was signed to carry out regular conservation activities. In addition, Green Riders Caribe 2025 began contributing to the installation of three bioclimatic nurseries as part of the environmental compensation for the construction of two solar parks, with a total investment of 580 million Colombian pesos. One of these nurseries will be located at the San Juan de Córdoba Educational Institution and will function as a practical learning tool for students.

Bayunca Greenhouse

Green Riders Caribe 2025 began supporting the adaptation of a greenhouse at the Bayunca Educational Institution, with inputs for the construction of an automatic irrigation system and storage tanks to mitigate the lack of water in the area. This space is used by students in grades 10 and 11 as part of their agro-industrial technical training, promoting the recovery of ancestral knowledge and youth entrepreneurship. The greenhouse will function as a practical outdoor classroom, where students will learn about planting and cultivation of native, medicinal and edible plants. It is expected to directly benefit 4,000 students and, indirectly, the 25,000 inhabitants of the district, contributing to the improvement of the environment and air quality.
